News From Tripp....
Spring Break 08 For The Homeless will take place at the Levitt Warehouse at 2107 Central downtown in Kansas City -  Saturday April 26th, 2008.

At the Survival  and Spring Break events our goal is to save lives by providing the materials the poor and homeless need to survive on the streets, in alleys, in old abandoned buildings, and in the camps. We also provide help for those that cannot pay their heating bills in our community and need warm clothing to keep from freezing in their dwellings.  The only way we can help them, is with the community's help.  Most do not realize how much money it takes to do the events! I try never to talk about money but the simple fact is,  it does take funds to rent equipment and materials to make the event's work. So I guess the way I'll put it is, if you would like to donate to a cause that you can see where your money goes... then we would like to be in partnership with you in that effort.

We had a steering committee meeting, and added up our expenses for the Spring Break 07 event.  We found out that the expenses were $7200 .We only took in around $6800  hundred dollars in donations. A difference of a few hundred dollars,  but as usual one of our committee members,  is stepping in with a personal donation of that amount.  If it wasn't for certain members of our committee stepping up at times, I'd  be working for the next several months trying to make up the difference.

So, if you can make a cash donation to help us with the next event, it  would really help us continue to help the thousands of Kansas city poor and homeless brothers and sisters. We appreciate you helping us to help in the community.  It takes us all working together to make this organization a success.
